Scaling Tech Teams

Every successful company will face the challenge of having to scale their tech team sooner or later. There will be more to build and maintain than the small founding team is able to handle. However, increasing throughput by increasing the number of people isn't as easy as it might seem and many teams have learned that the hard way with average productivity (and overall team happiness) going down significantly once the team grew above a certain size. While we don't have a silver bullet to prevent all growing pains for everyone, I want to share some learnings simplabs made working with numerous startups and scaleups over the years.

What to do if you don't feel heard at work

86%

That is the number of people who don't feel heard fairly or equally at their organisation.

And nearly half (47%) claim that underrepresented voices remain undervalued by their employers, according to global research conducted by The Workforce Institute at UKG in 2021.

Many engineers feel they don't have room to share their ideas and opinions. Are you one of them?

How often do you feel your perspective is taken into account? And is this as often as you’d like?
